System requirements for DMS server
Minimum requirements
Before installing the DMS server, please make sure your computer meets the following minimum requirements:
- CPU: Intel i7 (or higher) processor with 4 virtual processors at 2 GHz (or more), or AMD equivalent
- Hard drive: 100 GB dedicated to the database (required disk space may increase as data grows)
- Memory: 12 GB memory (depending on the configured cache)
- Network card: 100 Mbit/s with a low latency
Recommended requirements
- CPU: Intel i7 (or higher) processor with 8 virtual processors at 2 GHz (or more), or AMD equivalent
- Hard drive: 250 GB Separate SSD dedicated to the database (required disk space may increase as data grows)
- Memory: 32 GB memory
- Network card: 1 Gbit/s with a low latency
- MongoDB data folder added to the virus scanner exclusion list
The system requirements above are suitable for most of the basic operations performed on models of average size and complexity. Depending on the particular task and on the complexity of the models, the system configuration may need upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
Software requirements
DMS Requirements
To run the DMS server you need the following prerequisites:
- Windows 10 or higher - for testing purposes only
- Windows Server 2016 or higher - for testing or production
- Only 64 bit OS is supported.
Prerequisites which are installed by the DMS server installer:
- Microsoft .NET Core 8.0 Windows Server Hosting bundle
- Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0
- Microsoft Visual C++ v14 redistributable (x64)
Additional software requirements:
- MongoDB
- IIS
- ARR (Application Request Routing)
- A valid SSL certificate per web service (dms, identity and notification)
MongoDB requirements
The minimum supported version of MongoDB is 5. However, MongoDB 7 is the recommended version. Mongo can run on multiple platforms and has its own system requirements described in:
